Miss Lizzie

After a further 3 years of training, Lizzie graduated from Italia Conti Arts Centre , where she trained in performing arts (specialising in musical theatre, ballet and contemporary dance) also completing her teacher training qualifications.

She has been awarded her DDE Ballet teacher training and has passed many other major ISTD exams. Miss Lizzie has opened a dance school (E G A Dance) teaching over 400 students throughout the week as well as delivering the dance and drama curricular at a local primary school. Lizzie has grown up in the Brambly house family being daughter to Miss Justine. Gaining experience with pre-school children working throughout the holidays for many years. This class at Brambly House will be an ideal opportunity for Lizzie to combine her experience of dance and childcare.

QUALIFICATIONS: ISTD DDE Ballet, Diploma in Performing Arts, up to date DBS, First Aid trained.  

Miss Grace

Miss Grace started dancing at age 5. Within her time training she has attended local dance schools, The Royal Academy of Dance, and most recently Roehampton University, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Dance. 

Miss Grace has been gaining teaching experience over the past five years working in dance schools across Surrey and London. Whilst her favourite styles are Tap and Contemporary, she also loves Ballet, Street Dance, Jazz, Musical Theatre, and lots more! For EGA,

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Dance, up to date DBS, First Aid trained.  

Through consultation with Tamsyn and Andrea I have designed a movement group, combining all areas of Learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. During the sessions our children will benefit from the curriculum aspects;

Mini Movers- Creative Movement class:

Throughout these sessions, the children will have the opportunity to delve into various dance styles and movements, including ballet, yoga, and contemporary. They will engage in storytelling, using props and imagery to learn new skills in a fun and interactive way, often without even realising how much they are learning!

As they dance, your children will be able to express their creativity while developing a range of essential skills. This includes learning about motion, body awareness, balance, muscle strength, mobility, rhythm, and co-ordination. All of these elements contribute to a positive approach to movement that we hope will foster a love of dance and exercise from an early age.

Not only is dancing a fantastic form of exercise, but it also encourages social interaction, enhances speech, and supports memory retention among peers. We firmly believe that the most important aspect of these sessions is that “we have fun!”

Mini Movers - Musical Theatre class:

The children will get the opportunity to act, sing and dance all within one session.  The classes involve creative drama exercises with expressive movement, alongside exploring vocal exercises and singing.

Vocal exercises are hugely beneficial for a child's speech and language development. Children explore and make new sounds in exciting and creative ways, whilst building confidence within an area which they may be new to.

Pre-School age is a great time to start developing these skills.

The aim for the class is to enhance a child self-confidence/awareness and creativity. Children will unknowingly be developing social skills whilst exploring new adventures and stories. Drama classes encourages the children to work well as a team. 

The class is fun and exciting, focusing on a new story each half term.
