TUESDAY - FUSE - MERSTHAM PARK SCHOOL
FUSE CLASSES: A Fusion of Dance, Drama, and Singing
Our Fuse Classes combine the elements of dance, drama, and singing to provide your child with a holistic learning experience. We focus on developing their self-confidence, technique within dance, vocal ability, and acting skills.
These classes are designed to foster creativity and provide a platform for your child to express themselves artistically.
Throughout the term, the children will have the opportunity to work towards exciting performances, which will not only showcase their progress but also build their confidence in presenting themselves on stage.
These performances serve as a reward for their hard work and provide a platform for them to shine. We believe that such experiences are invaluable in nurturing their overall development as confident individuals.
SATURDAY ISTD BALLET & TAP - MERSTHAM PRIMARY SCHOOL
ISTD Syllabus Ballet and Tap Classes
These classes follow a structured syllabus that encompasses both exercises and free work. By learning the syllabus exercises, your child will enhance their technique and ability in ballet and tap dance. Alongside this, they will have the opportunity to explore their creativity within dance, further enhancing their performance skills and confidence.
Participating in ISTD classes offers a wealth of benefits for your child. It helps them develop discipline, musicality, and a strong foundation in technique. Following the structured syllabus will enable them to progress steadily and confidently within the ISTD framework. We believe that this will provide a solid foundation for your child's future in dance.
WEDNESDAY - MERSTHAM PRIMARY SCHOOL
CONTEMPORARY 10+YRS
4:30-5:10pm
Contemporary dance encourages students to explore and experiment a wide range of movements, allowing them to develop their own unique style. Through contemporary dance, students will not only enhance their dance technique but also learn to put their own emotions into their performances.
FREESTYLE TAP 10+YRS
5:30-6:10pm
Freestyle tap involves learning tap dance steps/exercises to current/fun pop music, enabling students to improve their musicality and rhythm. This form of tap dance allows for greater creativity and self-expression, as students can adapt the steps to suit their individual style and preferences.
ADULT CLASSES Tuesdays & Wednesdays
Whether you are looking to rekindle your love for dance or simply interested in finding a fun and invigorating form of exercise, we have something for everyone!
On Tuesdays we run Adult Ballet with Miss Lizzie at Merstham Park Secondary School. The class runs from 7:15pm to 8pm and will be priced at £7 per session.
This class is suitable for individuals of all abilities, where we strongly encourage a positive attitude towards ballet. Here, we will focus on core strength, coordination, flexibility, and overall heart health.
In addition to traditional balletic movements, we also incorporate modified floor and barre exercises to help tone and strengthen muscles.
On Wednesdays, we run Adult Tap with Miss Grace at Merstham Primary School. The class takes place from 6:15pm -7:00pm and will also be priced at £7 per session.
Tap dancing offers numerous benefits to your health, social life, and physical fitness. This class will enhance your sense of musicality and rhythm, provide a cardiovascular boost, and allow for freestyle movement to fun and upbeat music.
