Ballet and tap dance helps to develop essential physical skills. These dance forms improve balance, coordination, and flexibility, which are vital not just for dancing but also for other sports and activities. 

Beyond physical fitness, ballet and tap dance also promote creativity and self-expression. Children learn to communicate emotions through movement, which is a valuable skill in all areas of life. These dance styles encourage imagination, allowing children to explore stories and characters, enhancing their cognitive abilities, and broadening their understanding of the world. Moreover, dancing can significantly boost a child’s confidence. As they learn new steps and perform in front of others, they gain a sense of accomplishment and self-esteem. The supportive environment of our dance class helps children develop friendships and a sense of belonging, contributing to their emotional well-being.

The structure of the class will begin with tap dance, followed by a quick change of shoes for ballet. 

Don’t worry about purchasing tap shoes—trainers or school shoes will be perfectly fine.

If your child has a ballet outfit or a skirt they would like to wear, they are most welcome to put it on before we start!

During the classes, your children will have the chance to express themselves through creative drama exercises and explore the art of movement expression. They will also engage in vocal exercises and singing, which are known to have significant benefits for speech and language development. By experimenting with various sounds and building confidence, your children will foster their expressive abilities in a fun and stimulating way.

Our main goal is to boost your child's self-confidence, self-awareness, and creativity. By developing these vital attributes, your children will naturally grow socially and build essential team-working skills while immersing themselves in new and adventurous stories. 

Musical theatre classes provide an excellent platform for them to cooperate and collaborate effectively as part of a team.

Each term, we focus on a new story or musical, bringing fresh and captivating experiences to our sessions. We aim to create a nurturing and supportive environment where your children can flourish and unleash their true potential.
